Our Chinese New Year Rice Cake, also known as Nian Gao, is a traditional Lunar New Year dessert made from glutinous rice flour and brown sugar. Chewy and gently sweet, it symbolises growth and good fortune and is a staple during the festive season.
Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. Best consumed within 2–3 days of purchase.
Pan Fry Cake
Slice into 1.5-2cm thick pieces. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add frozen pieces and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden, or heated through.
