Fried Sesame Ball

芝麻球

Our Fried Sesame Balls, also known as Jian Dui, are a traditional Chinese pastry commonly enjoyed during Lunar New Year. Made from glutinous rice flour, filled with sweet paste, and coated in sesame seeds, they’re fried until golden. A symbol of prosperity and good fortune, they’re loved for their crisp exterior and chewy centre.
